Dean Hansen

Dean Jerome "Deano" Hansen, age 63, of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026. Born on February 8, 1963, in Stoughton, Wisconsin, Dean was the son of Roger Hansen and Lois Hansen-Hagen. His life was a testament to faith, family, hard work, and love.

Dean graduated from Stoughton High School in 1982 and carried with him the values instilled by his upbringing. He learned the importance of dedication and perseverance early in life while raising veal calves alongside his father Roger. Later, he honed his skills in the siding trade under the guidance of his father-in-law Curtis Weathers. These experiences laid the foundation for his successful career as the owner of Hansen Exteriors Inc., which he operated for over 24 years.

A proud patriot, Dean served his country with honor in the Army National Guard for ten years. This service was made even more meaningful as he served alongside his beloved wife Carmen. Dean deeply loved this country and held immense respect for those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.

Dean's faith was central to his life. He worshiped with his family at Christ The King Community Church in Stoughton, Wisconsin, where he nurtured a deep relationship with God. His unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ guided him throughout his life and inspired those around him.

Dean shared a remarkable bond with his wife Carmen, whom he cherished throughout their 41 years of marriage. Together they raised their daughter Natasha Pearl, whom he adored and supported unconditionally. Dean's love extended to his siblings-Susan Skinner (Bill), Sharon Castleberg (Steve), Dennis Sebranek (Susan), and Mark Hansen-whom he cared for deeply and always stood ready to help when needed.

He also leaves behind a large extended family who will miss him dearly: mother-in-laws Mo Weathers and Paulette Batts; brother-in-laws Steve Bauer (Constance) and Craig Batts; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Dean was preceded in death by his parents Roger Hansen and Lois Hansen-Hagen; sisters JoAnn Hansen and Annette Bauer; step-father Glenn Hagen; and father-in-laws Allen Batts and Curtis Weathers.

Dean found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time outdoors playing cornhole or bike riding. On vacations, he delighted in boogie boarding in the ocean-a pastime that brought him great happiness. Known for his quiet demeanor and incredible patience, Dean possessed a dry sense of humor that often surfaced through perfectly timed remarks, endearing him to all who knew him.

Above all else, Dean's greatest legacy is the love he shared with those around him. As an incredible husband to Carmen, an amazing father to Natasha Pearl, a devoted brother, and a steadfast friend to many, Dean touched countless lives with kindness and generosity.

May Dean Jerome "Deano" Hansen's memory bring comfort to all who knew him as they celebrate a life well-lived in faith and love. A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 02:30 PM at Nordic Ridge Park 1300 Hoel Ave. Fellowship and meal shortly afterwards.
