My wife hit a pothole and went down in Central Park. She broke her clavicle into several pieces. Dr Lorich put her back together. I remember chatting football with him, as I played at Purdue and was a couple years older than him. He told me the stories of when he was rooting through piles of prosthetic limbs in a hospital in Haiti, trying to find the right size for the people who needed them. I liked it. And I remember when this happened and it´s so sad. My best to his family.

Dean, you are in our thoughts on a daily basis as we watch our grandaughters grow and mature. They have your beautiful blue eyes and your ability to persevere even when the challenges are great. You would be so proud of them as well as your wife. She faces daily challenges and also was able to confront them and use all her resources to succeed. We will miss you.. judith and joe clark

You gave me my left shoulder and arm back. You insisted on immediate use of the mechanized chair and you constantly pushed me to excell on the physical therapy front. I can't forget your words you want mediocre results, submit to the pain; you want your full range of motion back, just keep pushing. We butted heads and mentality screamed at each other but I never doubted that you cared. I will never forget you and I'm sure I'll see you up there one day.

Feeling deep sadness after just learning this morning of the death of Dr. Dean Lorich. He did for me what no other surgeon could do, and he did it perfectly!
My sincere sympathy to his beautiful family.
Such a deep loss is so hard to express. You are in my prayers.
Rest in the peace of our Lord, Dean Lorich.

Our family is very saddened by Dr. Lorich's untimely death. His gifted skills gave my mom the use of her arm after a serious fall. We will always remember his smiling face and cheerful greetings. Our condolences to his family.
