Dean Monroe Jr. Obituary
He departed this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at home.
Dean, Jr graduated from Lew Wallace High School in 1992. He enjoyed different sports at Lew Wallace such as wrestling and swimming. He also was awarded for his singing ability. After graduation, he attended automotive training in Houston, Texas. He over came his disability and worked on a plethora of occupations. But most of all, Dean could fix things - especially plumbing and construction projects. Dean, Jr liked fishing, biking, camping, bowling, hiking, and playing tables games. He was an all around great guy.
Dean Jr was married to the late Felicia Knight Monroe in 1993 and from this union Dean Lee Monroe lll was born. He also was blessed with three grandchildren. Everybody knew that he loved his family, especially his parents.
Dean Jr was also a minister in the First Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ, in Indiana. Dean was an armor bearer for his Pastor Douglas Thames at Cathedral Of Hope C.O.G.I.C.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His son Dean Lee Monroe lll; his parents Dean Lee, Sr. and Hestina Monroe; grandchildren Cali Pettus, Prince Monroe, Dean Lee Monroe lV; brother Nathaniel Monroe; two adopted brothers Darnell Jones-Monroe and Montell Mosley-Monroe; one adopted sister Daniell Jones-Monroe.
One aunt Deatrice Woods; five uncles Maurice Monroe; Cornell (Alice) Monroe; Dale (Diana) Monroe; Raymond Cole and Alvin Curtis. And a very special friend Willie Clinton. Also host of cousins, nephews, a niece and many, many friends.

Dean Monroe Jr., known to me as (Baby Dean). You exceeded all limitations that so many set for you. With God being your Co- Pilot, you exceeded and excel to the highest heights. As you know your parents were your greatest supporters, and their love for you was endless. You grew into an honorable man, husband and father. My God-brother Dean was an all around great man with a beautiful heart. I will always remember the meal our families had together a few years back when I met your son and his family. You encouraged my oldest daughter to try a vegetable- okra! You are already missed and will forever be remembered.
