Dean E. Price Ogden-Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Dean E. Price age 74, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Promise Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to complications from an Aneurysm. He was born February 2nd, 1935 in Logan Utah to Ernest and Bonita Price. On May 31st, 1958 Dean married Karen Anne Argyle in Morgan Utah. Dean was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the 2nd Division. He graduated from Weber State College with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. He retired from the Defense Depot Ogden Utah after 38 years of service. During his career he made many friends throughout the U.S. His two greatest loves were his family and fishing, he labeled 1997 “A Good Year for Fishing” that year he caught a 38” Tiger Muskie, 29” Channel Catfish, 27 1/2” Walleye, and the State Record Wiper 21 1/4”. He was a long time member of Laplatta Recreation where he was an avid Deer Hunter. Dean enjoyed painting, woodworking, playing musical instruments, racquetball, golfing, rock hounding, and traveling including trips to Europe. He was an active leader in the Boy Scouts including a deaf troop. Dean was never lacking for a humorous story and if he didn’t have one he made one up. He was well known for giving out “Nice Person Tokens” which consisted of the new gold dollars and state Quarters. He loved spending time with family at holidays and special get togethers. Dean is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Karen, five children Eric (Jane), Monica, Bruce (Michael), Danny (Kelly), Kraig (Carlie), 18 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 5 siblings Donna Forbes, Mark (LueDean), Gordon (Helen), Dennis (Marsha), Deborah Gentry. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother (Ernest). Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Friend may call on Tuesday, December 22nd from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. Interment in the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
