Deana Gallagher Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 2, 2024.
Deana Gallagher (Marino)

On February 28th, 2024, Deana Gallagher (Marino), aged 67, was suddenly called home to be with the Lord. Born on May 14, 1956, in Waltham, Massachusetts, Deana was full of love and the epitome of a life well-lived, surrounded by family and friends who adored her.

A proud graduate of Waltham High School, Deana's early years were filled with the joys of learning and companionship. She carried these joys into her adult life, living in Boston before finding tranquility in retirement in New Hampshire.

Deana's heart knew no bounds when it came to her family. She was the loving wife of her late husband, Jonathan Gallagher , her Johnny boy and the devoted mother to her son Jason. Her siblings Leah, Patricia, Michelle, and Jason, along with her bonus daughter, Kristin Nazzaro, and numerous nieces and nephews, survive her. They will forever cherish her memory and the unconditional love she gave.

Her pastimes were a reflection of her thoughtful and caring nature. Deana delighted in the simple pleasures of working at a bookstore, engaging in crossword puzzles, and joining in the shared experience of watching her favorite show "The Bachelor."

A private service will be held to honor Deana's memory. In this time of mourning, we also celebrate her life, a life marked by kindness, generosity, and a deep respect for all. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and caring that will not be forgotten.

May Deana Gallagher rest in eternal peace, and may her spirit continue to guide and inspire us all.

Kristin, Jay I was one of the nurses at the hospital with you guys. I am sure it was very blurry for you guys but I want you to know I have been thinking about the both of you nonstop. I remembered Kristin from stretchlab and she always was so pleasant. The way the two of you stuck together that night, I have no doubts that you will be by each other's sides during this difficult time. We wish we could have done more.

My beautiful sister, this was too soon. This was not planned and it's not fair. Our family will never be the same without your laughter and joy you brought to it. So many memories both young and old. Thank you for being such an amazing older sister. Our hearts are broken.

Jay, I am so sorry. Words cannot explain how horrible I feel. All I can say is you and Kristin have always been each other's rocks during hard times and I have faith that will continue. Obviously you know how much Deana loved you and appreciated everything you have always done. Uncle Johnny left her in good hands with you.

Mom, I can't believe we are making funeral arrangements right now instead of getting story length paragraph texts and voicemails from you. You are missed so much already it's not even funny. I promise to look for signs in each day like you asked of me. Give dad and Maria a big hug when you see them for us. I hope you keep everyone laughing up there- Jay and Kristin
