Charles R. Altmeyer, 82, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was born May 1, 1943, in Harrison Township, to the late Jacob C. and Olga (Betush) Altmeyer. Charles lived his entire life in Natrona Heights. Charles worked in the No. 9 maintenance department for the former Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp. in Brackenridge for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Tarentum VFW and Legion in Brackenridge and Natrona. Charles graduated from the former Har-Brack High School in 1961. He enjoyed cards, horse racing, playing poker, and shooting pool and was an expert at crossword puzzles. Charles was a great friend to many and will be sorely missed.
