Fairbanks, Alaska - Deborah Chapman passed away December 8, 2022 at her home in Fairbanks, Alaska, at the age of 74. Deborah was born August 14, 1948, in Seattle, Washington and was raised in Bellingham, Washington, by her parents Lynnette Daves and William Cumbow. She met her husband, Tom Chapman in 1970 with whom she spent 5 beautiful years near her grand parents, Tom and Blanche Daves around Cain Lake, Alger, and Bellingham, Washington, before moving to Fairbanks, Alaska, in 1976.
Deborah helped build their home in the Goldstream Valley area of Fairbanks and had four children whom she home schooled while taking care of horses, dogs, and numerous other animals who she loved with all her heart. Deborah loved hiking, picking berries, gardening, caring for dogs and horses, and living in a wall tent with small children on her back and in her arms while building her home for the next 42 years.
Deborah is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tom, and their four children, Chelsea, Nell, Thomas, and Darius, her two grand daughters, Mara and Aurelia, as well as her sister Megan Anderson in Bellingham and other relations in the Pacific Northwest.
