Funeral services will be held for Deborah "Debbie" Embry on Thursday July 2, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler with the Rev. Dennis Cable officiating. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., 1 hour prior to the service.

Deborah "Debbie" Embry, 61, passed away Sunday June 28, 2015, after a lengthy illness at ETMC.

She was born on Dec. 16, 1953, in Sacramento, California. She met and married her husband of 41 years, Joe C. Embry, in Athens. Debbie attended Athens High School where she was honored with most beautiful during her senior year. Debbie was employed by Dr. Mike Rowan, orthodontist, for 26 years. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and close friend to many. Debbie enjoyed outdoor activities and was always up for an adventure. Debbie loved life and adored her family. She took great pleasure in her children and her grandchildren. She lived in Tyler and surrounding areas for the past 31 years.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Don C. Walter, of Irving, and her brother, Curtis Walter, of Irving.

Debbie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Walter, of Ennis; her brother, Doug and wife Deborah Walter, of Houston; and her brother, Greg and wife Carol Walter, of Ennis; her sister, Rebecca Seals, of Azle; her husband, Joe C. Embry, of Bullard; son, Joseph and wife Niki Embry, of Bullard; daughter, Amy and husband Jason Swanson, of Bullard; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Goodrich, of Bullard, Kennedy and Karter Swanson, of Bullard, Morgan and husband Marshall Duncan, of Dale, and Mattie Jo Embry, of Bullard.

Debbie you were an inspiration to many. Philippians 3:14. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

We love you and we will miss you, but our hearts will always hold you dear.
