Deborah Ann "Debbie" Heavilin

Deborah Ann Heavilin, known to her loved ones as Debbie, passed away on November 25, 2023, at the age of 73 in Canton, Ohio. Born on June 20, 1950, in Pennsylvania, Debbie was a devoted wife to her late husband, Al Heavilin, for over 30 years.

Debbie was a loving and energetic person who enjoyed doing crafts. She would spend hours creating beautiful gifts for others, showcasing her creativity and thoughtfulness. Her passion for crafting was a reflection of her kind and generous nature.

Debbie is survived by her sons, John Prouty, Robert Heavilin, Derek Heavilin, and Glen Heavilin. She was also blessed with eight grandsons and eight granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Al Heavilin, her father, Floyd Wassam Sr., her mother, Lois Wassam, her brother, Gary Wassam, and her daughter, Naomi Ash.

Debbie's educational journey took her to Kenmore High School, where she laid the foundation for a lifetime of learning and personal growth.

In accordance with her wishes, Debbie will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and the impact she had on those around her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Debbie's memory to The Red Cross, an organization that was close to her heart and dedicated to helping those in need.

Debbie's warm presence, loving spirit, and creative talents will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to her family and friends during this difficult time.
