Deborah Hood Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 20, 2022.
Deborah Lynn Clement Hood, a 1972 graduate of Mandeville High School where she was a National Honor Society member and Drum Major for band, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022. She was born in Columbia, SC on November 15, 1953, to Arthur Edward Clement and Ruby Raines Clement. She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Evans Hood of 49 years; her children, Brannon Evans Hood (Mitzi), Justin Raines Hood (Rachael) and Gabriel Clement Hood (Bryan); and grandchildren Cauy, Camryn, Sawyer, Ruby, Emily, Corly and Riley. She was the sister of Arthur "Pete" Clement, Jr. and Aunt of P.J. Clement, Whitney Nelson (Matt), Travis Clement, great-aunt of Martin Clement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur E. Clement, Sr. and Ruby Raines Clement and her sister-in-law Lisa Busby Clement. She was a native of Columbia, SC and a resident of Mandeville, LA since 1968. When not cheering on her favorite teams, the Saints and Alabama, Deb could be found playing corn hole and dancing the night away. Deb was the most caring person and was always rescuing an animal or being a best friend to everyone. She couldn't stand to see anything, or anyone hurt and was truly an angel sent to Heaven. God called his beautiful angel home. Deb "roll tide roll" back to the pearly gates where she continues to watch over her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at E. J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W 21st Avenue, Covington Louisiana on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 11:00 AM with visitation on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until service time. E.J.
