It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah Jeanine Jung, nee Prorok, 70, a longtime resident of Arlington Heights and Palatine who passed away peacefully on October 8, 2024 in Barrington. She was born on February 5, 1954 to Adolph and Elizabeth "Betty" (Sesko) Prorok in Chicago, Illinois. Deborah graduated from Maine East High School in 1971 and obtained her Registered Nursing License (RN) at Evanston Hospital School of Nursing . Deborah, known to most as Debbie, was a dedicated nurse to both the doctors she worked for and for the patients and their families. She worked at Lutheran General in the NICU and subsequently went on to work for Medical Pediatrics out of Arlington Heights, and finally concluded her career with Arlington Pediatrics.

Debbie was the adoring wife of Peter Michael Jung III. They were married on July 21, 1973 and enjoyed 51 wonderful years together. Debbie was the proud and incredible mother of Peter Jung IV, Suzanne Jung (Anthony) Huth, Jeffrey "Jeff" (Nicole) Jung, and Eric (Elizabeth) Jung and the devoted grandmother of Alexis, Annika, Thor, Natalie, Grayson, Freyja, and Jennsen. Debbie is survived by her mother, six sisters. and four brothers. Debbie's love for her family was boundless, and she was always the cornerstone of strength and warmth in everyone's lives that she touched. Debbie never hesitated to put others first ensuring that everyone around her felt comfortable and cared for. Debbie had phenomenal culinary skills and enjoyed sharing wonderful meals and yummy treats with her children and grandchildren.

Debbie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her light will continue to shine in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 12PM at the Northwest Assembly of God, 900 N. Wolf Road, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
