Deborah Stokes Obituary

Deborah L. Stokes, age 61, of Johnsburg, died October 10th, 2010 at her home in Johnsburg.
She was born January 21, 1949 in Woodstock to Kyle and Marion (Wolfe) Stokes.
Debbie lived most of her life in Crystal Lake. She graduated from Crystal Lake High School. Upon graduation, she gave California a brief whirl, but soon returned home where she attended Elgin Community College Nursing School. She graduated Nursing School in 1974 and became a registered nurse. Debbie spent her entire nursing career at Northern Illinois Medical Center in the Critical Care Unit.
Debbie was an amazing mother, a dotting grandmother, and great nurse and friend to all. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her three loving children, Rebecca (Josh) Ohlenroth of Johnsburg, Justin (Priscilla Barth) Neilson of McHenry, Jacob (Jessica Lucas) Neilson of Johnsburg; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan, Luke, Noah, Kirah, Kyle and Jonathan; who will dearly miss their Grandma; siblings, Cynthia (Brendan) Kennedy of Naples, FL, Thomas (Vicki) Stokes of Twin Lakes, WI, and Mary Augustine of Richmond.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Service was private for the family.

I am so sadden about reading of the death of a dear former co-worker and someone I considered a friend at work. My heart breaks. My prayers go out to her beloved children and grandchildren who Deb adored and lived for. God give you all strength.
