Deborah Jean Stratton

Our beloved mom, daughter, sister and friend passed away on September 13, 2016. Debbie was born in Phoenix, AZ on June 1, 1963. She grew up in Glendale, AZ and attended Independence High School where she participated in many extracurricular activities. Her bubbly personality shined in high school and it was where she met her future husband, Kurt Stratton. She and Kurt were married for 29 years. Debbie attended ASU and graduated with a Nutrition degree. Kurt and Debbie had two beautiful children, Kara and Luke Stratton. Debbie loved her children, traveling, cooking, her life-long friendships, her family, get-togethers and the ocean. She especially loved the time spent with her loved ones in Rocky Point, Mexico. The ocean was Debbie's second nature and touch stone. She lived life to the fullest and with love in her heart. Debbie is survived by her loving children, Kara and Luke Stratton, Kara's fiance' Stephen Shieh, her mother Barbara Tupper, her three sisters Sue Johnson (Bob), Kathy Braley, Sherry Baker (Steve), her brother David Tupper and many nieces and nephews and mother-in-law Sharlene Stratton. She was preceded in death by her husband Kurt Stratton and her father Gerald Tupper. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on October 1, 2016 at Redemption Church, located at 2150 E.
