Debra "Debbie" Harvey

Debra A. Harvey "Debbie", 61, of Aurora, passed away August 17, 2018 at Presence Mercy Hospital. She was born on September 26, 1956 in Aurora, daughter of the late John and Eva (Cutsinger) Martin. Debbie loved music and singing and was very good at playing the guitar. She loved to cook and have others over to her home to enjoy a meal. Debbie's favorite flower was the daisy and she loved to be outdoors. Debbie had a very warm heart and kind demeanor and will be missed by the many people who loved her. Survivors include three children, Jennifer (Ryan) Scroggins of Oklahoma, Shawn Vargo of Georgia, and Kasey Vargo of Kansas; brother, Bob Martin of Aurora; 3 grandchildren, Abby and Annabelle Scroggins of Oklahoma, and Maggie Penabaz of Kansas; sister in law, Sharron Martin and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Debbie is also survived by her close friend, Tim Schirmer, and by the many friends and staff members of Hesed House. Along with her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Megan Harvey; brother, Ronald Martin and several aunts and uncles. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 4 PM until time of memorial service, 6 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora, IL 60506.
