Debra R. Monroe, 52, passed away on March 9, 2023, in Perry, FL. Deborah was born May 20, 1970, in Valdosta, Georgia to Dale Roger Worden and Bettie Jo Fowler McNair.
Ms. Monroe was a Christian. Debra was a Jane of all trades and had a gypsy soul. Those who knew her knew she couldn't stay in one place for too long. She liked to hunt for special rocks, geodes, and arrow heads. She had an artistic side to her and liked to do arts and crafts and do some painting. She loved to have fun, singing karaoke or dancing, just being the life of the party. She was a very fun and extremely loving person.
Debra was preceded in death by her grandmother Josie Fowler and her Aunt Joan Worden.
She is survived by her 5 daughters, Erika Monroe, Lacie McNair, Julia (Joshua) Harper, Rebekah Monroe, and Jessika Monroe; her only son Timothy Monroe; her father Dale Roger Worden, and her mother Bettie Jo McNair; her sisters, Cristie Johnson, Heather Newberry, Victoria Matthews, Gena Matthews, Trisha Archuleta, and Beth Rivas; her brothers, David Matthews and Michael Matthews; 19 grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Debra's life will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 4:30 pm at Burns Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the funeral home for her final arrangements. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

I love you mama and miss you so much. There was so much that we were still suppose to do. So much left unsaid. I pray every day that you are happier, healthier and I know that you are no longer struggling with life. I just don’t know why you had to leave us so soon. If heaven had a phone I’d call you everyday. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you and I cannot wait til the day I can see your beautiful face again. I love you to the moon and back infinity times. Keep watching over your kids and grand babies. ❤

I recently spent some time with Debra. I am so glad we embraced each other with love. I loved her smile. I let her know that I loved her unconditionally and she too in return. A sister is special and I will miss you.
