Debra Samaniego Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 7, 2025.
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Sue Samaniego, who left us on April 3rd, 2025 at the age of 62 after a short battle with cancer. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, and her presence in our lives will be deeply missed.

Born on August 27th, 1962, Debra was a woman of incredible warmth and compassion. She was devoted to her family, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her love and care knew no bounds, and she created a nurturing environment where her children and grandchildren thrived. She was the heart of her family, and her gentle spirit will be remembered by all who knew her.

Debra leaves behind three children: Jessica and her spouse Jason, Erica and her spouse Shane, and Landon. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to eight grandchildren: Adrian, Khalai, Sadie, Chase, Lily, Cecilia, Reid, and Scarlette. Her love for each of them was boundless, and they brought her immeasurable joy. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

She is also survived by her dear brother, Gilbert, and sister-in-law, Betsy, along with numerous extended family members and friends. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Gilbert O. Samaniego, and her cherished mother, Lily R. Samaniego.

Rest in peace, Debra. You were a true blessing to all who knew you, and your love will continue to guide us.

Though I never had the privilege of meeting you personally, you gave us the beautiful gift of Landon. If I do half as well as a mother as you did with him, I will be leaving this world with such bright and precious gifts. You will be eternally missed but live on in the hearts and lives of all those you personally touched and all those your children will as well. Such a wonderful legacy from such a beautiful soul. May you find your peace rest.

I will forever miss my sister. Like mom Debbie would always check in with me to see how I was doing. You´re in good hands, say hi to mom and dad.

Jessica,
We are so sad to hear of your mom´s passing. Although I only met her a few times I know she was such a loving mother and grandma and was so proud of you and your children. When I see her photos it´s amazing how much you resemble her beauty. I cannot imagine your immeasurable loss and I am so sorry she was called to heaven a bit early. I pray that you find comfort in spending time with her in her final moments and know that she is now looking down on you from her place in heaven restored and free of pain. Sending love and healing and praying for you all.
Love, Kim and Adriana House

I´m very sad to hear that Debbie has passed. Sending heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all friends and family at this difficult time. I had a FB chat with her earlier this year to meet up and had no idea the time was limited. I will forever be sorry I didn´t set a date. She will be dearly missed, yet never forgotten.

Debbie was an amazing person. We reconnected when she moved here to Vaseo and I rented her an apartment! She was my step mom for majority of my child hood and my brother Landons mom. She will be missed deeply and was taken too soon. My prayers go out to all of her family! May she rest in peace and be out of pain.
