WARD, Debra (Martel) Age 65, of Epsom, NH, died Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in Bentley Assisted Living in Bedford, NH. She was the loving wife of Larry Ward, of more than 45 years together. Born in Ipswich, on February 14, 1956, she was one of three children of the late Paul and Marion Martel. Deb was raised on Farley Ave., in Ipswich, and had very fond memories of her childhood here. She was a graduate of Ipswich Schools and worked in many electronic factories in New Hampshire. Until her daughter was brought into her life and she remained home to care for her. Deb had diabetes at a very young age and managed this her entire life. She also had dialysis for many years as she awaited a kidney transplant, of which she had two (the first one failed) transplants. She also suffered a heart attack, lung cancer and battled her health issues to the very end. She loved her dogs and cat, the beach, camping, riding on her husband's Harley, friends, coffee, and of course her daughter and grandchildren, that brought her so much joy. She is survived by her husband Larry; her daughter Jenn Lord Paquin and her husband Chris; and grandchildren Hannibal and Acadia of Weare, NH. Also her brother Robert Martel of Ipswich, MA, and her brother Richard Martel of North Andover, MA, along with many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were held in Concord, NH, on December 10, 2021. Donations in Deb's honor can be made to the Joselin Diabetes Center, 1 Joselin PL, Boston, MA 02215
