Deirdre Foster Obituary
Dede gave selflessly to her community, volunteering and being an active politically aware environmentalist. She was loved by many as a giving, generous person.
A celebration of Dede's life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 2:00 PM in Unity of Bloomington Church, 4001 S. Rogers St., Bloomington , IN 47403 with the reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has requested to donate to the charity of your choice.
Day Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Dear Family and Friends...
So very sorry about Dede. I knew her and her late husband, John Foster, through my best friend in Bloomington, the late Regina Miller. Dede and John worked tirelessly on preventing a PCB Incinerator in Bloomington. They and others, including, but not limited to, Charlotte Zietlow, Jonathan Canada, Mick Harrison, Larimie Wilson, Jim Cantwell, Sherry Sheridan Sammis, David McCrea, and Joe Loop finally succeeded in stopping the incinerator! Thanks to ALL of them!
Dede, rest in peace, dear. You deserve it. And, am so happy you are now reunited with John and Regina.

I met Dede years ago in water aerobics at the IU Outdoor Pool, and have shared many watery summers with her. A group of us would hang out and talk and laugh, and Dede was terrific fun---full of surprises and talents and humor. I am so deeply sorry for your loss, but Dede brought joy to all of us. She will be deeply missed!
