WILCOX Della Hope Landry Wilcox, of Gretna, LA, passed away on May 24, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Melvin Joseph Wilcox. Mother of Sharon Wilcox Kraus and Melvin Joseph Wilcox, Jr. Mother-in-law of Douglas Paul Kraus and Janice Pierron Wilcox. Grandmother of Lisa Kraus Counce, Scott Darren Wilcox, Douglas Paul Kraus, Jr., Cherie' Wilcox Blanchard and David Paul Kraus. Great-grandmother of Taylor and Eric Counce, Dannielle Blanchard, Dawson and Presley Kraus. Daughter of the late Elvie Percle Landry and Alfred Joseph Landry. Sister of Kemp Claude Landry and the late Turner Walter Landry, Amy Landry Templet and Hazel Marguerite Landry. A native of Napoleonville, LA and resident of Gretna, LA for the past 80 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA, on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 10 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park. Parlors will be open at 9 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, 8970 Hwy. 23, Belle Chasse, LA 70037. Information, 366-4343.

To Miss Kraus, Lisa, and "little Davie and Dougie":

I was sorry to hear about Miss Wilcox's passing. We were all lucky to have Miss Wilcox for as long as we did, and I know you feel the same. Miss Wilcox was a wonderful teacher, and she was always so nice when I'd see her at Stumpf's drugstore or church. I know this is a difficult time for all of you, but take comfort in that she will be remembered fondly, and she loved you all very, very much.
