Denis Duguay

Watertown – Mr. Denis Duguay, of Watertown, formerly of Waltham, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton. He was 55. Denis was born in Waltham on July 26, 1965, a son of the late Emile J. Duguay and Laurieanne M. (Chevarie) Duguay of Watertown. He was a 1984 graduate of Waltham High School and despite disabilities always enjoyed working on home improvement or landscaping projects helping family, friends and neighbors. Denis was a beloved and devoted son who looked forward to trips to New Brunswick where many members of the family still reside. His best pal and pup, Chia, was always by his side. In addition to his mother, Laurianne, he leaves his sisters and brothers, Sr. Ginette Duguay, SCO of Mattawa, Ontario, Gilles Duguay of Redwood City, California, Albeo Duguay (Paula) of Maynard, Nicole Thetonia (Frank) of Marlborough, Paul Duguay (Sheila) of Watertown and Dean Duguay of Folsom, California and his nieces and nephew, Keegan and Grace Duguay and Frankie and Amber Thetonia. When public wakes are held capacity limits mean that your visit to the venue where they are held should be brief to allow other guests time to say hello to the family. Only members of the immediate family remain present throughout. It goes without saying that people who have lost someone are especially sensitive and understanding to the concerns that some of their own family members and friends may have about visiting any public places right now. If this does not feel like the right time for you to venture out please don't. Space limitations also mean that funeral services inside the funeral home and in many places of worship will also be private. Cemetery services are included in the current outdoor gathering limit of twenty-five people. During any events, public or private, common sense precautions prevail.
