LAROCQUE, Dr. Denis
1954 - 2013
It is with regret that we have said our good-byes to our eternal optimist on Sunday, April 14th, 2013 at the age of 59. Denis has taught all those close to him the value and example of courage, stoicism, positive attitude and humour until the very end. The lessons we have learned in sharing his final years will serve us well in his absence.
He leaves to mourn his wife Suzanne Lauzier, his children Philippe (Candice Kavanagh), Christiane (Michael Pierse) and Daniel and his sisters Claire Laberge (Benoit), Renée Larocque and Suzanne Larocque (Mike Graham). He also leaves many friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents Henri Larocque and Françoise Larivière.
Friends may call at Berthiaume Funeral Home Ltd. 416, McGill Street, Hawkesbury, Ontario (877) 632-8511 on Friday, April 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
A funeral service will be held at St-Jude Church in Hawkesbury, Ontario on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
The family wishes to thank all those who crossed their path during the past few years... wonderful and generous folks at the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, the Complex Pain Clinic, CCAC, Bayshore Home Health and Elizabeth Bruyère Hospital. Your devotion and caring have made our challenges more tolerable. Many thanks to friends for support and encouragement.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a local food bank would be a fine tribute to Denis's love of food, friendship and his reputation of being a generous spirit.
