Denise G. Nolan

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Denise. She was my flute ensemble director at Keene State and Franklin Pierce for quite some time. I continued to play under her direction with the Monadnock Flutes for a long time after graduation. She so graciously played at my wedding with the group as well. She was always so professional, but knew how to make playing music fun, even when I didn't practice. She will be deeply missed.

I had the privilege to conduct this wonderful lady when she played with the A Natural Concert Band. Her body is dead, but her musical soul is awake and ... who knows where?!

Denise lives on in all the people she touched in her life. All the flutists who had the opportunity to play with her and learn from her carry her spirit in their very souls. She lives on in our music......
