I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Denise was an amazing woman; I have many fond memories of volunteering with her at St. Francis. May you all find comfort and peace. God Bless,

I was so sorry and shocked to hear of the passing of Denise. I knew her from St. Francis school but got to know her more when I called for salad donations for funeral luncheons at St. Francis church. She always responded with a heartfelt yes! She would bring her famous pea and peanut salad that was loved by all! She was always so kind and generous. I was born in 1956, also, and have worked at St. Joes hospital as a nurse for 41 years. Our lives are a bit similar so I have much empathy for her family. My heart goes out to her parents, husband, children and grandchildren. To lose someone at such a young age is tragic. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Denise and Drew and I were college friends, working together at West Quad cafeteria. Denise was such a kind, loving, fun person. She put up with a lot of nonsense from the rest of us with her gentle, bemused smile. When Drew and I would argue politics, Denise would not take sides, kindly not wanting to tilt the fight for or against one of us. Denise was one of the most decent people I have ever known. I wish she was still here, so I could tell her that in person. We are all lucky we knew her.
