Denise Joy Stevens

Denise Joy Stevens, age 73 of McHenry, IL passed away peacefully at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington. She was born in Hull, Yorkshire, England on February 24, 1948 the daughter of Kenneth and Joyce Summers. Denise married her beloved husband Gary B. Stevens in Longueuil, Quebec Canada, on September 21, 1968. Denise was an avid Blackhawks fan and enjoyed watching them play. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with her husband all over the country in their motorhome and more recently spending winters in Florida. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Gary; her daughter Lynne (Keith) Beaudry; grandchildren: Samantha, Kaitlyn and Kyle. As well as extended family and friends. She has preceded in death by her parents; Kenneth and Joyce Summers. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 4 pm to 8pm at Colonial Funeral Home 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry IL. Family and Friends will meet on Thursday, March 18th at 10am at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock, IL for graveside service. With the current CDC recommendations and Illinois guidelines, only 50 people will be allowed within the funeral home facility at a single time, everyone attending the visitation will be required to wear a mask while in the building and practice safe social distancing protocol.
