Dennis Franklin Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 23, 2024.
Dennis was born on April 2, 1951 to Joe and June Franklin and raised on the Kodiak Naval base. In 1972 Dennis joined the Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran.

In 1977 Dennis married Sharon Beukers. Their sons Paul and Doug were born in Kodiak. The young family moved to Mountlake Terrace outside of Seattle. After retiring, Dennis and Sharon bought a winter home in Sun City Arizona in 2020 and enjoyed watching the Spring Baseball Training games and spending time with family.

Dennis passed away August 29, 2024 in Anchorage Alaska at Providence Memorial Hospital after a trip to visit close friends in Kodiak. His death came 50 weeks to the day after Sharon, his wife of 45 years passed away. We are comforted knowing they are both together again.

He is survived by his two sons Paul and Doug Franklin of Mt. Lake Terrace Washington, brothers Ronn (Patty) Franklin of St. Helens Oregon, Tim (Mary Alice) Franklin of Anchorage Alaska, sisters Pam Kuta and Cindi Murphy of Silverdale Washington.

Dennis leaves behind many family members and friends.

He will always be remembered for his quick wit and great sense of humor, kindness, joy in living and adventures at the casinos.

Will miss him very much. He was always there if you needed help. He had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. He was a good husband, good father , good friend and a good man.
