Dennis Hart Obituary
His commitment to education saw him transition from teacher and coach to principal at the University of San Diego High School. In 1975, Dennis took on the role of executive director of The San Diego National Conference of Christians and Jews. He also contributed his talents to the San Diego Public Library and to SAY San Diego. Dennis instilled in us the belief that public service is noble and essential, while also harboring a deep passion for history, music, and movies. During retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.
Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Connie, parents, Raymond and Matilda, and brother, Curtis. He is survived by his children Shawn (Patty) and Denise, grandchildren Dennis, Michael, Shamane, Andrew, and Marla, great-grandson Callum, and sister Tessie. Services honoring Dennis' life will take place on March 14th at 12:00 PM at St. Rose of Lima, Chula Vista, CA. In lieu of flowers, The Dennis and Connie Hart scholarship fund has been established.

Mr. Hart was my favorite teacher. He was my Western Civ teacher. I was class of 1974 which was the first year girls attended school there. The first thing he said to us was "I can't tell all of my best jokes now that now that girls are here!"

We miss and love you dearly, Papa! You were the best grandfather ever! Papa's presence was a beacon of love and wisdom in our lives, leaving an indelible mark on each of us. With a heart full of kindness and a spirit brimming with warmth, he touched the lives of all who knew him. As a devoted patriarch, he provided unwavering support and guidance, imparting invaluable lessons that will forever resonate within us. His legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will continue to inspire us as we carry his spirit forward. Though he may be physically gone, his love will forever remain etched in our hearts. Rest peacefully, papa, knowing you will always be treasured and deeply missed. Much love, Dennis, Michael, Shamane, Andrew, and Marla
