Dennis hired me at Aetna in October 1969... my second "adult" job. He headed Compensation, including job evaluation, at Aetna for many years and hired a core of incredibly capable young people who he developed into significant professionals. 50 plus years later, many of us are still in touch and as recently as last week when together in Vermont, Bill Belcher, Chuck Cumming and I talked about how significant he was in our lives. We are grateful to him for so many things -- and while we drifted over the years, Ann and his family should know what an impact he had on us through integrity, intellect, drive and compassion. He was one of the most important people in my professional career and I am forever grateful to him for giving me opportunity, confidence and the gift of professionalism. Thank you, Dennis. Our sympathy to Ann and his family.

Dennis hired me to work for him in the 1970s. He was a good and challenging manager (even threatening to fire me once!). But overall, I learned a lot from him and he helped advance my career, big time.
He was very smart and had an "intellectual" sense of humor that I enjoyed very much.
I fondly remember him taking me to a Kansas football game and hearing him chant "Rock chalk, rock chalk, K U..."
He was a good man and mentor.

Dennis was always a wonderful father-in-law to my sister, Melodie. And on the few occasions, like her 50th birthday celebration when our two families came together, I always enjoyed lively conversations with Dennis. He was so very smart and cared deeply about his family. I will never forget his taking time to advise/coach me when I had a work crisis in my 20's. My condolences to you, Ann, Chris, Steve (and Mel), Jennifer (and Bob), Melinda and all the Henderson grandchildren for your loss.

Not only was Dennis a wonderful father-in-law to my sister, Melodie, he always graciously entertained us on the few occasions, like Mel's 50th, that we got together. I enjoyed my lively conversations with Dennis the few times we met. I also appreciated when I was in a professional crisis that Dennis took the time to advise/coach me through it. My condolences to you, Ann, Chris, Steve and Mel, Jennifer and Bob, Melinda, and Henderson grandchildren for your loss.
