Meyers, Dennis Melven
78, of O'Fallon, formerly of St. Charles, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning, February 14, 2021. He was born April 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Melven and Anne Meyers. He graduated from Affton High School in 1960 and from the University of Missouri-Rolla (Missouri S&T) in 1965. Dennis married the love of his life, Linda Sue Graham, on August 24, 1963. Together with their two children, they lived across the Midwest as Dennis pursued a career in metallurgical engineering at General Motors, ultimately settling in Michigan in 1980. After 39 years with GM, Dennis retired, and he and Linda happily relocated back to the St. Louis area. Dennis had a great love for his family, always putting them first. Two of his favorite hobbies were golf and serving his church, and he enjoyed both very much. Dennis was confirmed as an adult in 1976, and from that point forward, used his God-given talents for administration and his desire to serve his church and others in numerous ways. He served in the choir, as an elder, and lay leader in several congregations in Michigan and at Our Savior Lutheran in St. Charles, where he really enjoyed his Friday morning Bible study.
Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Linda; son David (Holly); daughter Amy (Paul) Lucker; sisters, Barb (Jess) Altenbernd and Mary Meyers; sisters-in-law, Sally Graham and Janet (Joel) Brett; grandchildren Sophia Meyers, Donovan and Amanda Lucker, and many nieces and nephews and their families, whom Dennis also loved very much. Due to Covid, private family services will be held. Memorials may be sent to the Our Savior Lutheran Church, 2800 Elm Street, St. Charles, MO 63301. KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE

I have so many fond memories of times spent with the Meyers family while we were living in Danville, Illinois and the visits over the years between Florida, Ohio, Michigan and other places. My heart breaks for Mrs. Meyers, David and Amy and their families. My sincerest thoughts and prayers are with you.

Linda Sue,
I recall so many wonderful memories of you & Dennis!
Beginning with your wedding & talking to brother Jim, those days in Rolla & your small apartment when Dennis attended college, to my overnight stop-overs (my trips to/from Valpo) in Danville, including Dennis, you, Amy, & David attending my college graduation, and flying to Saginaw in Jan, 1983 with Dad & Mom. Add to that your presence at many family events, in St Louis.
You were very proud of Dennis' achievements, and he was in turn, proud of all, you both did for church, community, & family! The love you shared are moments you'll always treasure.
Love from your cousin, Jeff

Linda and family; Dick had the distinct privilege of working with Dennis at GM´s Advanced Development Laboratory in Saginaw MI for many years. Dennis was the consummate engineering manager, devoted to excellence in all facets of product, process and material development. Fortunately for his associates, his strong positive character also promoted their personnel growth as well. We will miss him dearly! Our sincere condolences! You are in our thoughts and prayers!

Dennis was a great neighbor and good personal friend, and we enjoyed knowing him for several years. In 2011, Bryant got tickets to the Master's golf tourney and put together a "foursome" to see the tournament and spend a week playing golf. Dennis had a new Chevy Suburban and agreed to drive. What a time we had! A great memory for four friends and avid golfers!
