Meyers, Dennis Melven

78, of O'Fallon, formerly of St. Charles, passed away peacefully in his sleep early Sunday morning, February 14, 2021. He was born April 21, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, to Melven and Anne Meyers. He graduated from Affton High School in 1960 and from the University of Missouri-Rolla (Missouri S&T) in 1965. Dennis married the love of his life, Linda Sue Graham, on August 24, 1963. Together with their two children, they lived across the Midwest as Dennis pursued a career in metallurgical engineering at General Motors, ultimately settling in Michigan in 1980. After 39 years with GM, Dennis retired, and he and Linda happily relocated back to the St. Louis area. Dennis had a great love for his family, always putting them first. Two of his favorite hobbies were golf and serving his church, and he enjoyed both very much. Dennis was confirmed as an adult in 1976, and from that point forward, used his God-given talents for administration and his desire to serve his church and others in numerous ways. He served in the choir, as an elder, and lay leader in several congregations in Michigan and at Our Savior Lutheran in St. Charles, where he really enjoyed his Friday morning Bible study.

Dennis is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Linda; son David (Holly); daughter Amy (Paul) Lucker; sisters, Barb (Jess) Altenbernd and Mary Meyers; sisters-in-law, Sally Graham and Janet (Joel) Brett; grandchildren Sophia Meyers, Donovan and Amanda Lucker, and many nieces and nephews and their families, whom Dennis also loved very much.
