DOLORES MARY STEWARD

STEWARD, MRS. DOLORES, MARY Muskegon Mrs. Dolores Mary (Schichtel) Steward, age 88, died February 10, 2010 at home with her family. Dolores was born December 6, 1921 in Hannah, MI to Frederick and Josephine (Bartz) Schichtel. She married James Roy Steward on April 10, 1943 in Ohio. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1972. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She worked at the former Sealed Power until retiring in 1984. She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son, Robert Steward; son, Fred Steward; sisters, Betty Stauffer and Joan Kastl; brothers, Bob and Phil Schichtel and her husband's siblings in Atlanta, GA. She is survived by her son, Roger (Brenda) Steward of Texas; daughters, Judi Buroker and Cheryl (Bob) Mirkle both of Norton Shores; daughter-in-law, Sue Steward, wife of Fred of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sister, Winnie (Paul) Yost-Sikkel of Nevada; brother, Joe (Janice) Schichtel of Cadillac, MI; sisters-in-law, Ethyl Schichtel, wife of Phil of Traverse City and Barb Schichtel, wife of Bob of Twin Lake; brother-in-law, Jack Kastl, husband of Joan of Norton Shores and more wonderful nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 20, at 1:00 PM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 110 Dykstra Rd, North Muskegon. Luncheon will follow.
