Deonte Lamar Newsome, 17, of Chula Vista died May 13. He was born in San Diego and was a student at the Chula Vista Adult School.
Survivors include his parents, Malvarn Newsome III of San Diego and Lois Newsome of Chula Vista; sister, Cora Adams of Chula Vista; brothers, Stephen Foster of Chula Vista and Malvarn Newsome IV of San Diego; and grandmother, Lois Akers of San Diego.
Viewing: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, San Diego Memorial Chapel, 2441 University Ave., San Diego.
Services: 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
