Derek Paquette Obituary
NORTH BROOKFIELD - Derek J. "D" Paquette, 50, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017 in St. Vincent's Hospital surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife Kellie A. (Karlon) Paquette of N. Brookfield; a son Jared J. Paquette of Worcester; mother Cynthia E. Varney of N. Brookfield; father Norman E. Paquette & his wife Carole of Brookfield; sisters Alicia Anderson & her husband Darin of N. Brookfield, Jennifer Lane of Long island, NY and Aimee Paquette of W. Brookfield. He also leaves his stepsiblings Meghan Nye and Michael Lawrence both of Brookfield; stepchildren Troy Turpin & his wife Mary of N. Brookfield, Venessa Tod & her husband Nicholas of Rutland and Kelsey Turpin of N. Brookfield; four grandchildren; several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his nana, Ellen Lane Grant.
Derek was a union brick layer with Local 3-MA for 28 years. In his free time, he especially enjoyed going to the ocean, riding his Harley, hiking, camping and spending time with his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 11,2017 from 5-8PM in Pillsbury Funeral Home, 44 Gilbert St., North Brookfield. The funeral for Derek will be held on Thursday at 10:00AM in the First Congregational Church, 144 Main St., North Brookfield. Burial will be in the spring in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, 111 Youngs Rd., East Brookfield, MA.01515. For an online tribute please visit:

R.I.P. Derek 50 is way too young. We saw you last year right before your bday in Feb at a party for our Step Son Troy and at the 80s party at Time Out and talked to you about your health because you weren't well. Then we saw you at Troy's wedding in Sept and things were looking better. That was just over 3 months ago and You just don't know from one day to the next when the good lord will call you home. Hope you will finally find some peace now. Thoughts and Prayers are with his family (my step family) and friends during this time.
