Derrald Brent Schwieder, 55, of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at his home.
Derrald was born Sept. 3, 1959, in Idaho Falls to Boyd and Jean Schwieder. He grew up in the Iona and Ammon area. He attended Bonneville High School.
On April 29, 1994, he married Debbie Chapple in Swan Valley.
Derrald was a professional hunting and fishing guide, farmer and rancher. He served on Board of Directors for Bonneville County Cattle Association.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed horseback riding. He loved any outdoor activities.
Derrald was a simple man who valued his family, friends and animals.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; his stepsons, Joshua and Ryan Beard of Idaho Falls; his grandchildren, Treyson and Tyler Beard of Idaho Falls; his parents, Boyd and Jean Schwieder of Idaho Falls; brothers, Doug Schwieder of Iona and Jon Schwieder of Idaho Falls; and his sisters, Jill (Ken) Stewart of Boise, Toni (Ross) Ellis of Iona, Janna Young of Baker City, Ore., and Christine (Asa) Nims of Boise.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 4, at Iona LDS 8th Ward, 4459 John Adams Parkway, with Bishop Steven Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Ammon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bonneville Humane Society.
