Hi,Aunt Carolyn and cousins; I got to be the first to play with Uncle Dick's toys. I remember a fire truck that he had, it was way cool, shot water out of a hose , had ladder that moved, wow, for me at 5 or 6,totally cool. He also had a small boat, that when you put in a pill and a drop or two of water, it bubbled out a tube to back of boat, which made it go thru the water. The best was going down in the basement on s.4th street and watching the lionel train layout. All the lights and stuff worked. Uncle Dick was at his best on fish night at Zion. There he would have the latest pics of either his grandchildren, and the family. Looked like he was going to need a wider lens as the family kept growing. Linda and I will also miss him. Uncle Dick's now on God's train and he will enjoy the trip. Love, Uncle Dick. God bless.

Aunt Carolyn and my cousins.

I'll always remember the times when I was young and we would gather at the big house at 202 S London St. My best memories of the Peterson family was when we would all gather at Christmas and birthdays and have some of Aunt Carolyn's delicious corn pudding. In fact, I think I still carry some of that corn pudding with me today, it shows. Trains, trains, I loved the trains and the layouts. Thanks to Uncle Dick and my cousins I learned to be a train watcher and chaser. I'll always cherish the wonderful memories we had at that house. Then y'all moved up to the north side of Rockford, but Uncle Dick still had to have a train layout in the basement. Armour had to follow with his layout too. Dan & Mark also had layouts if I remember. My wife Karren always marveled at how big the Peterson family was but always together, keeping in touch.
Uncle Dick will be missed but never forgotten. I/we will always remember all the good times. We wish God's peace & blessing on y'all.

Uncle Dick will be remembered for so many happy memories. We enjoyed seeing him and Aunt Carolyn at church, their home or ours. Uncle Dick loved seeing the irises blooming, just like his son, Dan. Neal enjoyed his model trains set up in his basement. Neal enjoyed going on a train ride with him and son Mark to the Train Museum in Union, IL. Uncle Dick enjoyed playing his horn and listening to many of his children and grandchildren play many instuments. Deb enjoyed helping him collect the state quarters for his grandchildren and himself. Uncle Dick was proud that he was able to give the 2nd book to them this last Christmas. Neal enjoyed talking to him about the Korean War and he opened up to him with his experiences in the Vietnam War. Uncle Dick was proud to be an American. We are proud to have him as an uncle and will miss him very much. With our sincere condolences go to Aunt Carolyn and all his children and grandchildren. With Our Love and God's Blessings, Deb & Neal Tolodxi Sr.
