Desiree Renee Borrego

Desirée Renée Borrego, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, and Friend went to Heaven February 3, 2016.

Born on August 31, 1961, she spent most of her life in San Jose, where she was an amazing Mother, to her daughter, Renée Brianne, and also cared for her own Mother in a way that exemplified the kind of unconditional love she had for those who were blessed enough to be close to her. She was particularly proud of her 20+ years long career at United Airlines, as well as having received the “Rookie of the Year,” Award, once she transitioned her career into Real Estate. She was truly one of the hardest workers you could ever meet, who overcame many obstacles throughout her life. Above all, Desirée was a fighter, who believed in justice, loved her family, and always wanted to do the right thing.

She is survived by her Daughter, Renée Windsor; her sisters, Cynthia Bickell and Tricia Chambers; her Brother, Michael Cereceres; her Brother-in-Law, Adam Bickell; her Cousins, Heidi Titus, Kelli Castillo, Troy Harrison, Carrie Cardoza, Joe Cardoza, and Bonnie Cardoza; her Aunts, Dhana Jean Phillippe, and Alice Sullivan; her Son-in-Law, John Windsor; her sons-in-heart, Mario Efrain Berrios, and Brandon Berrios; her precious doggy, Scrappy Do; as well as many other wonderful family and friends.

She joins her Mother, Patricia McClure, in Heaven, whom she missed so deeply, along with her incredible Father, Gene Shottenkirk. In addition, she joins her Niece, Marianne Lusch, her Brother, Walter “Dinky” Burton, her Grandchild-to-be, “Blueberry,” and her Grandmother, Mildred Oliveira. We are sure that they are all having a glorious reunion.

Memorial services will be held at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Memorial Park in Nashville, on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at two-thirty in the afternoon with visitation an hour prior, starting at one-thirty.
