Desiree Marie Dyer, Age 51

Desiree Marie Dyer, age 51, passed away suddenly on July 3, 2025, at her home in Jersey City, New Jersey, with her devoted husband, Thomas Beasley McMahon, at her side.

Born on July 16, 1973, in Commack, New York, Desiree was the beloved daughter of Margaret Ann Cunningham and Donald Francis Dyer. She was the youngest of nine children and brought endless light and joy to her large, loving family.

Desiree attended Christ the King Elementary School and Commack High School. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Stony Brook University. Driven, compassionate, and deeply committed to the well-being of others, she built a successful career as a medical sales representative-thriving in a role that allowed her to connect with people while promoting products that improved patients' lives.

On September 22, 2000, Desiree married the love of her life, Thomas Beasley McMahon. Their wedding remains legendary among friends and family-a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Faith guided every part of Desiree's life. She was generous with her love, sincere in her kindness, and unwavering in her belief in the good in people. Her pride in her nieces and nephews knew no bounds; she celebrated each of their accomplishments as if they were her own. Her joy, warmth, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Desiree is survived by her eight siblings: Donald, John, Michael, Brian, Suzanne, Renee, Denise, and Nicole. She also leaves behind her cherished nieces and nephews and an extended circle of close friends, all of whom she held dear.

A Celebration of Life will be held to honor Desiree on Wednesday, July 16th at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, located at 120 Sussex St, Jersey City, NJ 07302.

Here is a heartfelt remembrance you can use or personalize as you´d like:

In Loving Memory of Desiree - she was a warm, constant presence who always made us feel loved and welcomed. Her kindness came naturally, her laughter was easy, and her heart was always open.

She had a genuine way of caring-never just asking how you were, but truly wanting to know. She always asked about our kids, her niece and nephews. She wanted to hear every update, big or small, and if they were going through a tough time, she´d listen, comfort, and say a prayer for them without hesitation. That was just who she was-thoughtful, supportive, and full of love.

Desiree had a gentle strength, a lightness in spirit, and a sense of humor that made every conversation with her feel special. She made people feel seen and heard. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always-for her warmth, her kindness, and the grace she brought into our lives.

We love you Tom and we send you our love and strength to you in this difficult time.

Love from Michael, Amy, Ian & Lainee, Autumn, Cameron, and Gavin McMahon
