Three years and still missing you every single day. I can still see your contagious smile and hear your unforgettable laugh. Keep watching over all of us.

Dear Devin,
I miss you. I miss my big sister, my best friend, my idol, pretty much my entire universe all wrapped up in one person. It's been
525,600 minutes without you, and let me just say this one in particular is no fun. I know you don't want me to be sad, but you have to understand this: every day when I was little, I would wish as hard as I could for a big sister to take care of me, and then I got you. Whenever I needed advice, soccer tips, or just someone to talk to, you were always there. Sure, you're still here with me in my heart and in my head, but I want you to come back for real. I just want to goof off at Skyzone with you and the team one more time, and I want one more hug from the best big sister I could have ever asked for. And in another 525,600 minutes, I will probably be a little less sad, but I will never miss you less. Thank you Devin, for being the best gift all of my 11:11 wishes could have given me, I'm just wishing today more than usual that one of those wishes would bring you back.

Devin, though I didn't get to meet you or know you on a personal level it still hurts to hear that you are gone. Reading about everything you have done for people it is clear to me that the world has lost something special. Though you are gone, you are not forgotten and you will continue to live on in the hearts of those that love you.
Ernest, Carol and Amadi May God be with you through this difficult time and give you the strength to pull through. On behalf of my mother Winifred and sisters Adanna and Vanessa, you have our condolences

Devin, I miss you a lot. Thank you so much for you giving me encouragement saying" I can do this." " I would be a famous soccer player." I want to tell you that you will always be with me everywhere I go. In soccer games, in school and at home. I will use your strategies that you taught me. You will always be with me. Thank You, Devin.

Dear Carol, Ernest and Amadi, We are truly saddened to hear about the tragic lost of your dear Devin. Devin was truly blessed to have had such loving and devoted parents/family. And she shared her talents and blessings all around her. Words must have so little meaning at a time like this in comparison to the deep loss you have experienced. Perhaps knowing that old friends mourn with you and continue to love you! We want you to know that we are here for you should you have any need. May God the Father bless you, heal your hearts and grant you peace. Sola & Angela Seriki

I did not have the opportunity to know Devin, but I knew her family in Mt. Vernon, NY. Her grandmother, Mrs. Young, was my second grade teacher and I have fond memories of her mother, aunts and uncle. I was saddened to hear of her passing and offer my prayers and condolences.

Last year I was fortunate having worked with Devin coaching an 8th grade travel team in Newton. She had the respect of the players, because she worked just as hard coaching them. The team played better and worked harder. She was a delightful engaging person, I looked forward to working with her during the spring of 2013.

I just saw Devin from afar last week and was thinking of how much my son enjoyed playing on her team a year ago. In fact, I think I will always have a vision of Devin surrounded by kids bouncing around and chanting "I believe that we will win" and they did in more ways than one. Devin was an energetic light and a gift to many. May the kids she coached continue to be inspired by her spirit.
My prayers are with you.

Carol, I cannot imagine what you are feeling. I just keep thinking of all the fun times watching the girls play at Trinity. Devin was so lovely and I want you to know how much she meant to me because she was such a good friend to my daughter and it was such a gift for me to know Amelia had such a wonderful friend who welcomed a transfer and made her feel like she belonged.I will always remember Devin on the field urging her teammates on and you standing on the hill usually with a few other family members cheering Devin on! It was the best of times -- a precious memory.

Devin is one of a kind, always pushing the girls to the highest level, never met a coach like her. She had the girls keep diaries on how they were doing in
school, their diets, how many juggles....just a kind caring person who loved everyone! The Abboud family loves her too and sends hugs and kisses to her family at this time.

Devin was not only my soccer coach but she was my friend. I never saw her without a smile on her face. I will never forget her amazing attitude that spread onto all of the people around her. She has given me so much clarity, and will forever be in my hearts. Heaven has for sure gained an angel and I know you will be watching down on us. Every time I step foot on that soccer field I will know that although I can not see or touch you, I will feel you in my heart.
Rest in peace Devin for God has the greatest plan for you up in heaven and I know you were called to be his soccer angel.

What an incredible woman. She could have done anything with her life, but chose to work with kids - teaching, encouraging, and helping them build confidence in themselves. Our children were changed by her, and we are so grateful for the time we had. She was unique. We will miss her.
