BRISTOL, Va. – Dewey McGrady Price died Feb. 16, 2007, at Wellmont Hospice House.
He was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Washington County, Va., to the late Dave and Lillie Price. He worked at Washington Motor Co. for over 26 years. He then worked at Pioneer Chevrolet for several years. He retired from Crabtree Buick in Bristol Virginia. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Abingdon.
He was preceded in death by a loving wife, Kathleen Tignor Price; five brothers; two sisters; sons, Sammy Price, James Price and Verlin Price; and grandson, David Price.
Survivors include son, Marvin Price and wife Barbara of Bristol Virginia; daughters, Juanita Sims and husband Vilas of Bristol Virginia, Betty Crusenberry and husband Tim of Bristol Virginia and Geraldine Spiva of Bristol Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, at 4 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Les Ketron, the Rev. Paul Price and the Rev. Gary Harless officiating. The burial will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in Abingdon.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Buddy Sims, Chance Crusenberry, Sammy Spiva, Tommy Spiva, Dewey Spiva and Robbie Price. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Gerry Boccarossa.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:45 p.m. Sunday prior to the service. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Wellmont Hospice House. Online condolences may be registered at www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
Weaver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

DEAR PRICE FAMILY,
IAM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS.MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AT THIS TIME. MY GRANDPARENTS USE TO LIVE SOUTH OF THE PRICE'S. THEY WERE ALPHIA AND FOUNT GALLIHER. MY DAD, ALBERT AND MOTHER ETTA WERE GOOD FRIENDS. EDITH POPE PRICE WAS MY COUSIN. ALL OF US KIDS USED TO PLAY TOGETHER. HE WAS SUCH A FINE MAN.
