News Death Notice
PRATER-VANDYKE, Mrs. Diahnne Carol age 52, of Middletown, Ohio, born in Dayton, passed away December 3, 2012. Preceded in death by her father, Starlain Prater, Jr.; son, Charle G. Prater-Curtis. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Martin Vandyke; mother, Mary Waters; daughters, Kiahnna Pitts, Taneesha (Paul) Moore & Shadarrah (Naphtali) Bakko; brothers, Darrell, Terry (Elaine) and James Heard, Starlain III (Davida), Gary, and Eric (Linnette) Prater; sisters, Cheryl Mooreland, Starla Heard (Mike) -Reynolds & Charlotte Prater; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Residence Park Church of Christ, 4328 Hoover Ave. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery. Visitation 10 am Tuesday at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. R.I.P Mama!!!I love and will always miss you. If I knew of what happened I would have been able to pay my respects to you. You were a mother to me and I love you as one. I still dont believe you are gone. I apologize for not keeping tabs on you, we had Good times and lost contact not knowing I wouldnt see you again... Love you Mama Diahnne, see you when I get to Heaven!!!!!

Too the family of Diahnne Carol....you will surely be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing you!!! We had lots of fun growing up together and becoming young mothers around the same time......clubbing whenever we had the chance!!! Rest in paradise my dear friend.....you will forever be in my heart!!! I love you and will miss you very much....Until we meet again.....i will see you when i get there!!! God bless this family.
