Dear Mr. Chui, Herb and family,
Please accept my heartfelt sympathies on the loss of your wife, mother and loved one. Mrs. Chui, as she was known to me as a child and neighbor, was a woman of great quiet strength and dignity. Her love, pride and joy in her husband and son was very apparent. She greeted everyone with a warm effusive smile and kind words. All who had the occasion to know her felt honored. She exuded hospitality when I visited by welcoming me into her home with an offer to share in a repast with her. I will forever fondly remember the day she learned to drive. This was a big day for her and I remember cheering her on as she faced her challenge and forged ahead learning a new skill. I recall her smile as she independently and cautiously pulled from the curb. It was a previlege to have known your wife and mother. It is my hope that your faith, love and memories of her will comfort you in the days ahead.
Respectfully, Jamie Shanahan

An exemplary caring and giving mother, who never faltered. Her signature smile, and courteous disposition; rarely unnoticed.
May God bless Aunt Diana.
Our thoughts and prayers are with our beloved Uncle Herbert and his family. We hope time eases the searing pain of today, as the family shoulders this terrible burden of grief.
From Louisiana and Andrew, and all family members of the late Peter Put-Lai Chiu.

Remembering our dear Auntie and Great Grand Auntie Diana,
A kind and cheerful lady who always had a smile for everyone.
A skillful seamstress who sewed the white baptismal white dresses, hats, booties for our daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie.
A caring, compassionate Auntie who encouraged and inspired us with many Scripture passages.
She hand copied Bible verses in Chinese and sent them along with her annual Christmas wishes.
Auntie Diana had long distance chats with us on the phone, sharing her thoughts experiences with encouraging words.
While living in Vancouver and Auntie Diana and family were in Seattle, we visited and had the opportunity to get to know her, Uncle Herbert and Bert much better!
Auntie Diana will be missed! May she rest in peace! She is home!

I will always remember our dear sister Diana for her many spiritual, inspirational words: e.g. "Thank you dear Heavenly father for your blessings to all 10 of us sisters, brothers and our families" (after our reunion in 1994); "The special ties we share grow sweeter and more meaningful as the days and years go by"; "God's promises are new every morning" ; and her favourite scripture "This is the day which the Lord hath made" and her favourite hymn "Just a closer walk with thee."
May eternal peace be granted you and perpetual light to shine upon you!
Love, Anita Toronto
