Mylo Fischer

Acampo, Calif. - Funeral service for Mylo Fischer, 65, of Acampo and formerly of Eureka, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Carlsen Funeral Home at Eureka. Pastor Harris Kenzler will officiate. Burial will be in Church of God Seventh Day Cemetery at Eureka. Visitation is Friday from noon-6 p.m. and on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. He died Jan. 28, 2005, at Lodi Hospital, Lodi, Calif. Mylo Fischer, son of Arthur and Hulda (Schrenk) Fischer was born July 22, 1939, at Eureka. He was united in marriage to Delores. He farmed cattle near Eureka for many years. He later moved and worked as a grounds keeper for the Elk Horn Country Club Golf Course in Stockton and Mickey Grove Golf Course for 15 years before retiring in 2003. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed motorcycling, traveling, auctioneering and story telling. He will be best remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather and for his gift for making people laugh. He was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day in Lodi. Survivors include his wife Delores of 44 years of Lodi, his parents of Eureka, one daughter, Mona (Ross) Benight of Lodi, one son, Daren Fischer of Galt, Calif., one sister, Marilyn Mitzel of Rapid City, S.D., three grandchildren, one niece and four nephews. The organist will be Kay Fischer and the soloist is Jim Fischer. The family prefers memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association, 105 S. Washington St., Sacramento, CA 95812. Carlsen Funeral Home of Eureka have been entrusted with arrangements.
