Diane Hall Childress, 73, of Madison Heights passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Bobby Eugene Childress.

Born December 30, 1945, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Warren E. Hall and the late Dorothy McDonald Hall. Diane worked for a number of Lynchburg florist for over thirty years. She was a member of Keystone Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by three children, Brian Keith Childress and his wife Stacey of Lynchburg, Kimberly C. Welch and her husband John of Concord and Kelly Childress of Madison Heights; two brothers, Wayne E. Hall and his wife Louise and Harry Hall and his wife Rhonda all of Madison Heights and Carolyn Rash and her husband Wayne of Manassas; four grandchildren, Kelsey and Colby Childress and Stephanie and Ryan Welch; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service celebrating her life will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 18, 2019, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. David Hill and the Rev. J. Monty Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m., Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Keystone Baptist Church, 212 Fleetwood Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
