D'ALOISIO, Diane Janet (nee Bastien) 66 Years, passed away on May 9, 2010 with her family lying beside her in bed. Loving and devoted wife to George D'Aloisio of almost 48 years. Beloved mother to Joseph & Deborah D'Aloisio, Teresa & Paul Riggi, Michael & Susan D'Aloisio, and Angela-Grace & Carlo Castagna. Dear Nonna to Joel, Emily, Ellen, David, Mark, Felicia, James, Mitchell, Julianna, Joey, Luca and Erica. Predeceased by her parents, Ledson & Grace Bastien. Sister to Ruthanne Bondy, Leonard Bastien & Neil Bastien. Diane was a hard working mother and Grandmother who loved to cook for her family. She not only raised her four children, but also helped raise her twelve grandchildren, who she cherished dearly. Her greatest joy was working with her husband in their garden. Diane was a devout witness of Jehovah who strongly believed in the resurrection hope, and looked forward to reuniting with her loved ones on paradise earth. Visitation at the James H. Sutton Funeral Home, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg (519-736-2134) on Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. Memorial Service on Thursday at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 900 North Service Road, Windsor at 11:00 a.m. Mr. David Gibson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transition to Betterness (T2B) and Worldwide Work of Jehovah's Witnesses. Special thanks to the staff at Metropolitan Hospital Oncology Unit, who made Diane's last days comfortable. You may leave your online condolences at www.jhsutton-funeral.ca

Please be assured of our support for all the family at this time, we will always remember Diane and George, smiling and welcoming
us and always taking the time to make us feel, part of the amherstburg, congregation, when we lived there. Diane's strong faith in Jehovah's promise of a resurrection is a wonderful example to us all,she knew that Jehovah will use his creative power to do one of the most wonderful works of all time, bringing our loved ones back to life, to serve him unitedly together.

It was her trust in Jehovah and the love of her family that supplied her comfort during those last few difficult days. She was regarded as a Sister to many of us and her kindness and hospitality will never be forgotten, especially by her creator.

What a beautiful woman Diane was! To know her, was to be a recipient of her kindness and generosity. Her family was her whole world, yet when you sat at her kitchen table you felt, not like a guest, but like an extended part of that family. Diane never failed to amaze me at her ability to find a solution to any problem. I can still picture her in my kitchen on moving day, on her hands and knees painting the cracks in my ceramic with a matching nail polish! She never wasted anything (who knew milk baggies had other purposes?!) and she would find treasures in things most people wouldn't even notice. She knew how to do just about everything and she would do it exceptionally well (as any who tasted her home cooking would know!) but best of all she was always willing to teach others. So it is thanks to her that I learned to jar sauce, make jelly, turn cucumbers into delicious pickles and have a thriving garden.
What a beautiful woman Diane was! When I think of her, it will be with a smile........if these tears will ever stop falling.
