Diane D Downs

In the heart of Foley, AL, a light has been extinguished, leaving a void that will be felt for generations to come. Diane D Downs, a woman of unwavering strength and independence, passed away on May 3, 2023, at the age of 64. Her life was a testament to the beauty of perseverance and the boundless nature of the human spirit.

Diane was the rock of her family, a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. Her love for life was evident in all that she did, from the way she rode her motorcycle through the countryside to the gentle way she cared for her beloved horses. She was an animal lover through and through, with a heart that was big enough to hold all of God's creatures.

Diane's family was her greatest joy, and she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her children, Bobby Downs (Terah) and Abby Downs, were the light of her life, and her grandchildren, Bell (Brandon), Cody, Bubba, and Ryder, brought her endless happiness. She was a great-grandmother to Clover, who will grow up knowing the stories of her incredible great-grandmother.

Diane was preceded in death by her husband, Andy R Downs, her beloved friend, David H Hoffman, her father, Charles J Campbell, her mother, Edna Mae Campbell-Toney, and her nephew, Sam Campbell. She is survived by her siblings, Don Campbell, Donna (Mike) Boyll, Dave (Bobbi) Campbell, Debbie (Marvin) Campbell, and Dana (Bobby) Golden, as well as her nephews and nieces.

Diane's life was a poem, a beautiful and intricate tapestry of love, laughter, and adventure. She lived life to the fullest, never missing an opportunity to explore the world around her and to find joy in the smallest of things. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
