She was one of the wittiest standups, I have ever seen.
Her dry "I dont know what I'm saying?" was classic.
She was one of a kind.

I met Diane in 1991 at the Cleveland Improv. She was at the top of her game. Smart, funny, and gorgeous. She was everywhere that year, shining with the brilliance of a thousand stars. Decades later, my heart broke right in two at the news of her passing. A wonderful woman, and an American treasure. My deepest heartfelt condolences to her friends and family.

I met Diane when she was Diane Waldron and I was in graduate school. She was traveling all the time selling chicken and later French fries. She was very bright and funny. She was a huge success in a world dominated by men. We moved to Southern California and were married to the tunes of the Eagles and Hotel California. She started her comedy career as Diane Ford and inspite of our separation continued as Diane Ford.
