Diane Goodwin departed this earth on March 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and educator, she touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness, intelligence, and grace.

Born in 1947 in Leominster, Massachusetts, Diane was a woman of many talents, an extraordinary beauty and cheerleader, she also served as president of her sorority - a testament to her leadership and charm.

Diane earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Kentucky, paving the way for a distinguished career in education. Over the years, she mentored and inspired countless students and colleagues at both the high school and collegiate levels. Her dedication and contributions to her field were recognized in 2014 when she received the Barby Hardy Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kentucky State Library Association, an honor that reflected her lifelong commitment to learning and service.

Despite her professional accomplishments, Diane's greatest achievement was her family, especially her four daughters, whom she loved fiercely and championed without reservation. She was their biggest cheerleader, always encouraging them to become the strong, independent, and accomplished women they are today. Her pride in them was boundless, and she never missed an opportunity to share their successes with the world.

As a lifelong devoted Catholic, Diane found community and spiritual fulfillment at Epiphany Catholic Church, where she served as a lector and found profound purpose in the prison ministry. She cherished her parish family and the close circle of friends who brought her joy and comfort. Diane also loved traveling and spending time with her beloved dogs, who were constant companions and a source of happiness.

She is survived by her loving children: Tara Culbertson, Julie Culbertson (Mike Fortune), Kelly (Bret) Cahn, and Samantha (Douglas) Pulliam; her adored grandchildren Emmy Pulliam, Vivian Cahn, and Henry Cahn; her sister Linda Martin; and her brothers Tom Goodwin and Ronnie Goodwin, all of whom will carry her love and legacy forward. Diane will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those fortunate enough to know her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Diane's remarkable life at Epiphany Catholic Church, 914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, Louisville, on Tuesday, March 11th, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Diane was beautiful, intelligent, and vivacious, and she had time for EVERYONE at LHS [I was not a part of the in-crowd]. The world is diminished by her loss but Heaven now has a new Angel.

So sorry to hear of Diane's passing. We were neighbors in Leominster where Diane was a proud resident of the "Plains". In high school, Diane and I were classmates in the great Leominster High School class of 1966. Diane cheered for our athletic teams during her years at LHS. She was also on the Teen Age Group board of directors that held dances at city hall every Saturday night. She was so proud of her girls and always mentioned them during our conversations at our class reunions. May she Rest In Peace.

Diane you were a great friend & classmate and I admired you. So glad we got the chance to see you here in Leominster for our 50th Class Reunion. Who would have known in just the short time that that was our last visit. May God be with you and may you Rest In Peace. Bless your family! Shirley Reynolds
