Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 16, 2013, in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of George Hanson. Dear mother of Barry (Lynn), Brian (Erika) and Darlene (Marc Beamish). Predeceased by 3 children Catherine, Brenda and David. Loving grandmother of Erick, Amber, Brandon, Laura, Connor and Kelsey. Great- grandmother of Kaleigh. Sister of Joe (Rachel) Prince. Predeceased by her brothers Robert, Ronald, Jerry and Donald. Sister-in- law of Vivian, Jackie, Gail and Jessie. Friends may pay their respects at

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Diane's passing. We are so sorry for your loss. You were wonderful neighbours and after you moved it was always a pleasure to meet you out and about. You are an amazing close and loving family. The joy and pride George and Diane showed when talking about their grandchildren was wonderful. Treasure the memories and comfort each other.

My dearest uncle George and my dear cousins, Barry, Brian and Darlene (and families),
Words cannot express how deeply sorry i was to hear about Aunt Diane. She was the glue that held the Prince family together. Growing up, we all had "Nanny", and boy did we all feel blessed, but Aunt Diane sure did take over Nanny's shoes. All my best childhood memories have been with Aunt Diane. You always knew she enjoyed life, her family and especially those grandkids of hers. She'd call me every year on my b.day to wish me a great day and we would take that moment to catch up. I tell you she would go on and on about all of you and what you had all achieved in life. She was so proud of each and everyone of you.
The best part for me, was that she never forgot about my dad and would often bring up stories about him to me. She was truly a wonderful human being and will remain in my heart forever.
I'm thinking of you all, if you need anything, I'm a phone call away,

Rest in Peace Diane (Mom Hanson), you are a loving, courageous, caring individual who's life was ended far too soon. I consider myself lucky to have had you in my life for the past 24 years. We are thankful you did not have to suffer for too long.
