Diane Korb-Priputen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 30, 2025.
Diane Adams Korb-Priputen, 70, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2025.

Born in Orlando, Florida, Diane was the daughter of Bob and Jane Adams. As a proud Air Force brat, she spent her childhood living across the country and around the world, experiences that sparked her lifelong love for both military service and global travel.

In 1975, Diane joined the U.S. Army and served honorably during the Vietnam War era. A trailblazer, she became one of the Army's first female paratroopers, helping pave the way for future generations of women in combat roles. In addition to her airborne service, she worked as a signal operator. Her military career took her to Mannheim, Germany, where she was stationed until her honorable discharge in 1979. Ever adventurous, Diane used her time in Europe to travel widely, a hobby that remained with her throughout her life as she eventually traveled to many different countries and continents.

Following her military service, Diane attended the University of North Florida on the G.I. Bill, earning a bachelor's degree in finance. She went on to enjoy a long and successful career in banking, real estate, and the mortgage industry.

For many years, Diane made her home in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where she lovingly raised her three children: Blake, Harrison, and Chandler.

In 2008, she married Dave Priputen and relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. Together, they shared many joyful years until Dave's passing in 2015.

Diane retired in 2020 and returned to Florida to enjoy her golden years by the ocean. She cherished walking along the beach, watching rocket launches, and tending to her vibrant garden with a natural green thumb. Her other passions included Italian food, Disney World, and her beloved dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Jane Adams; her brother, Darrell Adams; and her husband, Dave Priputen.

Diane is survived by her children: Blake Korb (Michael), Harrison Korb (Olivia), and Chandler Korb (Adam); the father of her children, Alan Korb; and her grandchildren: Lilly (11), Addison (2), Cooper (2), and a granddaughter expected in January. She is also survived by extended family, dear friends, kind neighbors, and her faithful Yorkie, Peanut aka Puppy.

A memorial service will be held in Spring 2026 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida. Details will be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Diane's honor to Save a Yorkie Rescue.
