Diane Lambert Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2024.
Diane Lambert, age 76, left this earth to be with Jesus on July 15, 2024, breathing in the full, healed breath of heaven. She fought disease and trials for the last sixteen years, but always did so with unbelievable courage, strength and grace. Born June 7, 1948, in Caulfield, Missouri, Diane lived the last forty-years as an involved resident of Manatee County.

There are countless ways to describe Diane, from her selflessness to her incredible cooking; her bravery and strength in adversity to her sharp wit. But what matters the most about her identity was that she was a true disciple of Christ. She loved God's Word and she loved people, and she spent her whole life studying her Bible so that she could teach it and share it with others. In her final couple of years, you could find her reading her Bible or watching gospel music videos worshiping in good old fashioned "hymn singing" almost daily.

She was a problem solver and a fixer, always trying to help her daughters and grandkids with life's challenges. She would have laid down her life for any one of them. There was nothing that made her face light up more than one of her five grandchildren walking into the room. She served and loved in a way that was so much bigger than herself and was testament to the power of the Holy Spirit within her. She sacrificed at every turn to take care of others.

Together with her husband, Paul, they shared a lifetime of ministry and fifty-seven years of marriage. She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother and "granny."

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Paul M. Lambert of Parrish, FL, her daughters, Kristen Lambert of Palmetto, FL and Kerrie Carrier (Kendall) of Parrish, FL, her sister, Susan Merritt of Parrish, FL, and her five grandchildren, Caleb Couchois, William Boyd, Markus Boyd, Krissy Boyd and Leah Couchois.

The sense of loss her family feels is overshadowed by the overwhelming knowledge and assurance that Diane is face to face with Jesus. Soli deo gloria!

A Celebration of Life Reception will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 1:00 in the afternoon at North River Church, 5517 Fort Hamer Road, Parrish, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Diane's memory to "One More Child" of the Florida Baptist Children's Home. With three grandchildren given to Diane by the Lord through the foster care system, adoption was very dear to her heart and her family knows this is the best way to honor her life, her love, and her legacy.

I was so fortunate to work with Diane at the Economic Development Council. She truly cared about her job and the people around her. She exhibited her faith in everything she did. I was so sad to hear about her passing.

I had the good fortune to work with Diane when we were both on staff with the Manatee Chamber / Economic Development Council. She was a kind, supportive, talented teammate. I will always remember her beauty - inside and out - and her love of people, especially family and people she could help.

I work for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and Diane was with the Economic Development leg of our organization for many years. I remember when some of the staff joined in on an initiative in our local schools. Diane was excited to participate and make a difference in a child's life.

Boy, did she! She found out that the child she was mentoring was homeless, living in a car with his parent. She took the family in and found them resources to get back on their feet.

She made a difference not just in that one family's life, but in many other ways through her selfless giving. She'll be missed.
