Diane R. Mattson, 73, of Godfrey, Illinois, a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Alton, Illinois, died at St. Clare's Hospital in Alton on Sunday, February 23, 2003. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2003, 4-8 p.m., at Fine & Quinn Chapel for Funerals, 603 Henry Street, Alton. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, February 27, 10 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 4th and Alby Street, Alton, officiated by Reverend Matthew Richardson. Interment will follow at Godfrey Cemetery, Godfrey. Memorial donations are appreciated to First Presbyterian Church in Alton or American Cancer Society, c/o Fine & Quinn Chapel for Funerals, 603 Henry Street (Sixth and Henry Streets), Alton, IL 62002. Arrangements entrusted to Fine & Quinn Chapel for Funerals, Alton, Illinois.

I have such fond memories of your Mom as many good years were spent with your family. She was always great to me and I remember sitting by the fire with your Mom and Dad as well as her famous Thanksgiving Day dressing. I know that she loved you all very much. Hang in there and take care.
