McCartney, Diane L.

Diane L. (Cropp) McCartney, 67, Green Bay, passed away on May 29, 2015 with family by her side. She was born in Green Bay on January 13, 1948 to the late Clarence and Irene (VanLanen) Cropp. Diane graduated from Preble High School in 1966 and lived in Green Bay most of her life. She was employed as an insurance agent for 38 years working for Murphy Insurance which became Alexander & Alexander and then Aon. Diane enjoyed taking care of her dogs, shopping for that great deal, Christmas decorating the entire house and yard, trying new restaurants, weekly card games with family and friends and traveling to new and familiar places. She will be remembered as a loving mother whose greatest passion was helping others.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer McCartney Grube; son-in-law, Clinton Grube; grandchildren, Monica and Tyler Grube; aunt, Bette Murphy; special friend, Larry Kaderabek; cousins; extended family and friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her son, Christopher McCartney; grandson, Devin McCartney; her parents; aunts; uncles and cousins.

Family and friends may call at the Pfotenhauer Funeral Home & Cremation Service, East-Town location, 2379 East Mason St. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 4 until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 until 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family extends special thanks to the staff at Heartland Hospice and Maple Ridge Medical and Rehab Center for their care of Diane in the last few months.
